- 1993–1999 Medical studies at the Westfälische Wilhelms University in Münster
- 2000–2003 Paediatric specialist training in the USA (New York College of Medicine Westchester Medical Center and Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center), completed with the American Board Certification
- 2004–2008 Worked as a paediatrician in the USA in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Since 2009, Dr. Normann has been practising paediatrics and adolescent medicine in Germany
- 2009–2010 Doctorate in paediatric haematology at the Westfälische Wilhelms University
- 2009–2013 Paediatrics at Clemenshospital Münster
- 2013 Paediatrics board certification by the Medical Association of Westphalia-Lippe
- 2014 – Spring 2023 Outpatient work as a specialist in paediatrics in the group paediatric practice Borghorst/Ochtrup (Steinfurt district)
As part of the additional training in manual medicine and osteopathy, one-year medical activity from 2021 to 2022 in the clinic for manual therapy in Hamm, Westphalia.
